• Restaurant info: name, address, menu, images — if you register as an owner
• Reviews: ratings and comments you submit
• Usage data: pages visited, searches made (not linked to your identity)

We do not collect payment information, phone location, or any data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account
• To display your restaurant listing and menu to users
• To send authentication emails (login, password reset)
• To show your reviews on restaurant pages
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third Party Services

Bayo uses these trusted third party services to operate:

• Supabase — stores your account data and restaurant information securely
• Cloudinary — stores images you upload (menu photos, restaurant covers)
• Google Fonts — loads fonts for the interface (no personal data shared)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and security standards.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Account data is kept as long as your account is active
• Restaurant data is kept as long as the listing is active
• If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days
• Reviews may remain anonymised after account deletion

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

7. Cookies

Bayo uses only essential cookies required for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and restricted access to sensitive data. However no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and keep your login details private.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Bayo after changes means you accept the updated policy.
